Cultural development

On a broad strategic level the agency is contributing to the borough wide animations (festivals) strategic review.

The agency is also contributing to the development of the borough’s Cultural Strategy for the DCMS.

The Agency has recently commissioned a borough-wide Media Development Strategy. This process was prompted by the closure of the borough’s only remaining Cinema but it is hoped that the strategy will also help establish a Lewisham film development fund as well as a platform for an expansion of media development in the borough.

On a specific level the agency is working with particular festivals and events to enhance their offerings and improve their marketing - Deptford X and Havelock Walk Open studios to date
